The whole island is very well suited to road cycling with many cycle lanes, and in my experience, I have found drivers to be very courteous to cyclists and give plenty of space when overtaking.

The north of the island has lots of farmland with burnt red soil that boasts vineyards, lemon trees and olive groves, with quiet and peaceful lanes woven between.

The undulating coastal roads offer stunning views with climbs to push through and downhills that enable you to get up some speed.
